Gavriel D. Guterson

Gavriel (Gabi) Guterson focuses his practice on commercial and civil litigation, including complex business and contract disputes.

Before joining SLG, Gabi was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Peter J. Bray (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas) and the Hon. Jennifer C. Boal (U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts), as well as working with the Hon. David R. Grand (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan), where he prepared summary judgment reports and recommendations, detention orders, dispositive orders, and discovery orders and handled a variety of matters such as civil rights, contracts, torts, patents, administrative law, antitrust, fraud, and employment.  Gabi also has prior law firm experience as an Associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, in Boston.

As a student at Boston University School of Law, Gabi was a Judicial Intern for the Hon. Cathy Bissoon (U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania).  He also was a Research Assistant, Teacher’s Assistant, editor of the Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law, and worked with the Innocence Project through the school’s Wrongful Convictions Practicum.

Gabi’s educational and professional experience has provided him with extensive research and writing skills, as well as an understanding of the civil and criminal judicial system, allowing him to provide a unique perspective and personal approach to the needs of SLG’s new and existing clients.
