Travis J. Mock

Travis Mock is an experienced counselor and advocate, focused on resolving complex commercial disputes for clients spanning the technology, finance, insurance, energy, construction, real estate, and commodities industries.  He has represented clients in state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate levels, of New York, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas.  Travis also has significant experience in ad hoc and institutional mediation and arbitration.  Before joining SLG, Travis practiced complex commercial litigation in the New York office of a global law firm.

Travis maintains an active pro bono practice, representing New York City landlords and tenants and advising local nonprofit organizations on transactions, dispute resolution, and strategic initiatives.  He received the Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico award for his multi-year defense of a rent-controlled tenant.

Travis is an active member of the New York legal community.  He chairs the First Decade Committee of the Federal Bar Council and is a member of the Federal Bar Council’s American Inn of Court.  He currently chairs the New York City Bar Association’s Chamber Music Committee and previously chaired its National Moot Court Competition Committee, which administers one of the oldest and largest extramural moot court competitions in the United States.
