Before joining SLG, Emily was an associate at Burns & Farrey, P.C., where she was a litigation associate focused primarily on insurance defense.
As a student at Boston University School of Law with an Intellectual Property Law Concentration, Emily was also a Student Attorney through the School of Law’s Technology Clinic, representing students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston University on technology-related legal matters. During law school, Emily was also a data privacy intern with eResearch Technology, a global company specializing in clinical services and customizable medical devices to biopharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, where she worked to develop a record retention policy and schedule for the company.
Taken together, Emily’s educational and professional experience has allowed her to understand the relationship between business interests and legal compliance, as well as thinking about future risks or exposure to litigation.
