Litigation Associate Attorney
Shlansky Law Group, LLP, has an opening for an attorney with 3-8 years' experience in business litigation for either its Chelsea, Massachusetts, or Wilmington, Delaware, office. Candidates must have excellent work product, superior writing skills, strong analytical and research abilities, and clear and effective communication. Full-time Finance Manager wanted for Burlington office of a dynamic multistate commercial law firm and realty development/investment firm. Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will embrace a busy workplace where the day flies by with challenging and engaging work.
The Finance Manager oversees all aspects of the accounting, internal reporting and insurance/HR administration. The position is responsible for transaction processing and month end close/reporting as well as initiating adaptations regarding financial policies, practices and procedures; and for establishing and maintaining internal controls. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Managing Partner on insurance/risk management and HR administration.
Working with a part-time accountant the Finance Manager oversees and contributes to: invoicing/accounts receivable; accounts payable; inter-company charges and account reconciliations. On a monthly/annual basis the Finance Manager will prepare cash-flow reporting; KPI analysis; budgeting and forecasting; tax compliance and year end schedules as well as various ad hoc financial projects.
Candidates must demonstrate mastery of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial analysis; possess a high level of expertise with a legal billing system, preferably Clio, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); be highly organized with the ability to follow instructions precisely; be able to work discreetly and dependably; have a record of performing very careful work with limited supervision; and have a polished and professional demeanor, all with a strong work ethic.
Applicants should have at least a 4-year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent; and 5-10 years of related experience in accounting and finance roles. Experience in the legal or real-estate development industry is preferred. A CPA designation is a plus.
We offer a starting salary of $90,000/year (depending on qualifications), contribution to health insurance and paid vacation.
